Strawberry Limeade!

Summer is almost here and two of my favorite things are strawberries and lemon/limeade. This color combo was from the Color Challenge at SCS, and the sketch is from Card Patterns. I really enjoy sketches and this sketch with this color combo immediatly made me think of something summery. The dp I used here was from K&Co and the red was from a SU paper pack. The strawberries were clear embossed and cut from the same dp and pop dotted over the ribbon.

The Cuttlebug Spot

The challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot this weeks is tea bag folds. I made this using two different dp's and the top layer is vellum. The pearl brad was added to the center. The white bg paper was embossed with the Swiss Dots folder. I kept this card very simple to show off the the finished product. The bottom layer was made using 8 1" square papers and the top layer was made using 1/2" vellum squares. I folded them into the basic kite fold and layered them. This reminds me so much of a snowflake... LOL!

The Pink Elephant Sketch!

This week at The Pink Elephant it is a fun sketch. I used one of my favorite color combos on this card, and this paper by Basic Gray is one of my favorites, I love the pattern and decided to use it for the scallops instead of my normal scalloped punces or scalloped ribbon. I sewed the ribbon and added the sticker and buttons. The BG Kraft paper is cuttlebugged using the Swiss Dots folder.

Another Cherry Card!

Yes, it is another cherry card. I am not sure why but I have been into cherries lately. This stamp set by Tutti Frutti is definitly in my favs. The bg was stamped using the Fiskars set. I made this card for the 2Sketches4You sketch and for the Color Throwdown Challenge.

I've Been Tagged!

I've been tagged by xiumaiyuki. The challenge is to post the 6th photo from the 6th folder in your photos. I actually had to tweak it a bit because dh takes lots of photos of houses where he works and I didn't think it was appropriate to post photos of other properties so I chose the 6th photo that was a personal photo. This is a photo of dd trying on some new shades from Gymboree.

Simply Trees!

I made this card for the Caardvarks challenge. These trees are from a Fiskars stamp set I bought at JoAnn's. I used K&Co. Dp and the White Cardstock and Ripe Avocado cardstock are from papertrey Ink. The ribbon I purchased at Michaels on clearance. I am also entering this into the challenge at OCC to recycle. The button was from an old box of sewing things we salvaged. TFL!

A Cake for You!

This weeks challenge was to use cake or cupcakes. I had this adorable sticker and just couldn't pass up the opportunity to use it. The top note was cut by running the top note die by Sizzix purchased from SU through my cuttlebug. I stitched around the edges and added the ribbon and the sticker, then I added allt he buttons and stamped on the sentiment. TFL!

You, Me, and The Pink Elephant!

These last two weeks have been so hectic, last week the kids were out for spring break all week, we had so much fun, but I was so busy that there wasn't much time for stamping. The challenge this week was to recycle, and this barrett was recycled two times. First from my daughter who never wanted to wear it, and second from an old card I amde a long time ago, so recycle it I did. LOL! The buttons were recycled from an old sewing box that someone was throwing away and I salvaged it and found all kinds of goodies inside. Hope everyone has a wonderful week.

Yummy Strawberries!

This weeks has been so busy with the kids being home on Spring Break, and it seems like I haven't really had time to make cards this week. This is a card I made a while back and posted on SCS. I just love these fun strawberries on this card. Hope everyone is having a great week and hope to be more active next week when the kids are back in school.

Coloring Easter Eggs!

This Easter was so special for Alexa, this was the first time she was able to really enjoy this part of Easter. She was so concentrated on decorating these eggs that she had her little tongue sticking out, just love that little detail of this pic. On Easter we went to my sister-in-laws and she was more interested in the "goggies" than looking for the eggs. LOL!

The Cuttlebug Spot Challenge

This week for The Cuttlebug Spot it is shaped cards. I have never made a card like this, but found it to be a lot of fun. I found this new paper pack by DCWV La Creme. I just love black and white and so I decided on a black and white card for this one. The outer part of the octagon was made using the largest scalloped octagon from Nestabilities and then layering over that with a smaller octagon shape from my Nesties. The stickers are also from La Creme. I finished it off with a button on the top corner, and now that I am looking at my card, I didn't use my cuttlebug folders at all, LOL, but I did use my cuttlebug for the nesties...

The Pink Elephant and TGF!

I hope everyone had had a great Easter weekend, and are rested after all the fun activities. My kids are home this week for spring break so they will be enjoying all the free time, and I will enjoy not having to get up early every morning, LOL!

This week we have the privelage of using TGF digital images and I thought this little number was just adorable. It inspired this girlie card, and yes all those little buttons.

I colored the unicorn in using my prismacolor markers and stitched around all the edges. The dp is from Basic Gray.

Shiny Red Cherries and The Pink Elephant!

One thing that we have seriously lacked close to where I live is a good craft store. I usually go to Michaels, or Wal-Mart, but if I want anything different than what they carry I have had to order it online, so Friday when JoAnn Fabrics opened their Super JoAnn I just had to go see what they had, and I just didn't know what to do with myself I was so happy in there. So many new things to look at the variety was AWESOME! This wonderful ribbon was one of those things I found that I just had to have.... It looks so yummy so this card for today was inspired using this wonderful ribbon.

I embossed the white cardstock using the mesh cuttlebug folder and cut out the SU top note and embossed using the oval scallop nestabilitie. I stamped the cherries from the Tart & Tangy stamp set and cut out the cherries and the leaf and pop dotted them, the cherries have been embossed using liquid embossing so they would be glossy. I also used a Martha Stewart punch for the border on the bottom of the card and added this fabulous ribbon, and I just couldn't resist stitching on the borders of the card.

I have been attacked by this horrible cold that is going around. With five kids it seems as if someone has been sick constantly for the last few weeks and I guess now it is my turn, I guess you can't take care of a housefull of sickies without finally coming down with it yourself. I sure can't wait for the flu/cold season to be over.

Wall Collage!

This was a fun challenge for me. I decided to make a wall hanging and have used some of the sketches for this. I used K&Co paper and stickers for all of the 4x4 coaster I decorated. There is a mixture of ribbon, buttons and gems on them. This first picture is of all of them hanging together on the wall. I have entered this into several different challenges. The Use It challenge this week is to use scraps, at least two different kinds of ribbon, and punches. This definitly fits into that catergory. It is also going into the Saturday Challenge to use stitching. This is full of fun stitching... One of my favorite techniques.

This panel was made using the sketch at Stamp Something. I love how the stitching came out around the edges.
The next two panels were done using the sketches at 2 Sketches 4 You. I just love playing along with their sketches.
This is also being entered into the challenge at Creative Card Crew, using texure is so fun when making cards, and this is just full of texture, I have added ribbon, buttons, cuttlebugging, and so much more.
